GeoSpatial Modelling Environment

The Geospatial Modelling Environment (GME) is the predecessor of the Hawths Tools extension for ArcGIS, but with some important improvements. It is designed to help to facilitate rigorous spatial analysis and modelling by linking ArcGIS to the statistical software package R. It has a greater range of analysis and modelling tools, supports batch processing, offers new graphing functionality, automatically records work-flows for future reference, supports geodatabases, and can be called programatically.

Desktop Earth 2.0

Desktop Earth is a wallpaper generator. It will generate a high-resolution, accurate representation of the Earth. The imagery is based on NASA’s Blue Marble Next and Earth’s City Lights.

Desktop Earth will generate a high-resolution (the imagery is calculated from high-resolution 2560×1280 textures!!) representation of the Earth combined with city lights data which will be used to generate the Wallpaper. The image also changes automatically to represent snow and foilage changes across the seasons.

Merge Two or More Shapefiles or TAB Files into a Single Shapefile Using GeoMerge

GeoMerge is a utility that lets you merge two or more shapefiles or  TAB files into a single shapefile.

Select two or more shapefiles or TAB files that are to be merged, and click the ‘Merge Files’ button. The files will be validated for a common schema. If all of the files selected have exactly the same column definitions in the .dbf file the records and shapes from each individual file will be concatenated into a new shapefile.

ArcView 3.x Extension : Multiple Images Hotlink

This ArcView 3.x extension allows you to display multiple images that have been associated with a feature. Simply requires that you have the path and filename of the image stored in a field. Fields can contain multiple paths and names of other images. Orange diamond is added to the View toolbar. Click the tool and then select the function you want to see the pictures. The images will open in a new window display. You can resize, pan, zoom, etc.
