GIS Applications for Sustainable Development and Good Governance in Eastern Indonesia and Timor Leste

Charles Darwin University Press has published a new book entitled GIS Applications for Sustainable Development and Good Governance in Eastern Indonesia and Timor Leste.

From the book – “GIS and remote sensing is often represented as complex, expensive and ‘cutting edge’ technology, the province of a techno-elite in developed countries. This book represents an important (unique) set of papers describing the application of such ‘high technology’ as appropriate technology within a remote/regional and developing country context. Geographic information systems (GIS) are now used to visualise and analyse a wide range of data types. The high diversity of GIS applications in eastern Indonesia and Timor Leste is evident in the scope of papers included in this bilingual (English/Indonesian) publication, ranging from land use to health services.

It is edited by Rohan Fisher, Bronwyn Myers, Max Sanam and Vincent Tarus.

Which indicator are used for good governance? Can I find any GIS map examples somewhere?
    Thanks.

  2. Electro-Magnetic Radiation (EMR), which is reflected or emitted from an object, is the usual source of Remote Sensing data. However, any medium, such as gravity or magnetic fields, can be used in remote sensing
