Adobe has released a free plug-in that adds GPS data panel as coordinate metadata viewer for its Creative Suite 5 software applications including Photoshop CS5, Bridge CS5, Fireworks, Flash, Illustrator and InDesign.

The panel available under File > File Info menu option and provides basic location information such as latitude, longitude, and altitude of both the camera and subject. The installation files for the GPS panel are available for immediate download for both Mac and Windows platforms from Adobe’s website.

It is better than nothing if you want to check an image’s coordinates or see if it  containing GPS metadata open in one of  Creative Suite 5 software applications.
