MXD packager will copy any layers in the ArcMap TOC to a single destination, and change the data source for the layers to point to the new datasets on disk. This script will also change the MXD to hold Relative Paths, making it easy to copy a complex MXD onto a CD or DVD with all datasets included.
Two ways :
- all layers (vector covers as a shapefiles and all rasters as IMG files) in one SHP folder with original extents, visible and invisible layers or only visible layers;
- visible layers (vector and raster layers) clipped by dataframe or activeview in separate folders – maps (if several maps at pagelayout). Invisible layers involved in legend remain in project in all cases
