Project Butterfly has been released a new version that allows you to georeference and overlay your AutoCAD drawings/design on Google Maps and on geographic imagery and edit and modify drawings in their geospatial context. The integration of Google Maps became possible due to Google Maps API for Flash.

Project Butterfly’s imagery now support over 20 popular image libraries from the GDAL Project to serve as background to your drawing, which is part of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGEO). a Youtube video below shows you how to use Google Maps and geographical imagery with Project Butterfly.
