The FELIS-Analyst is a free LiDAR-tools for ArcMap.

The device offers several possibilities to import LiDAR-RawData to ArcMap & analyze it. In the actual Version of the FELIS-Analyst the following tools are included:

  • Raw data:
  1. Import of ASCII – raw data
  2. Georeferencing of raw data
  3. Merging raw data
  4. Normalization or raw data
  5. Selection of raw data
  • Digital Elevation models:
  1. Calculation of DTMs (Digital Terrain Models)
  2. Calculation of DSMs (Digital Surface Models)
  3. Calculation of nDSMs (normalized Digital Surface Models)

Analysis: Several tools of the Spatial Analyst are integrated into the FELIS-Analyst (Hillshade-Image, Slope-Image, Aspect-Image, Contour lines)

  • Extraction tools:
  1. Module to extract roofs that are efficient for creating solar energy
  2. Extracting Building footprints
  3. Extracting Vegetation
  4. Extracting Forest Areas
  5. Extracting Tree Tops
  6. Extracting Forest Composition
