Editing in ArcGIS 10

There are a few quick guides from Esri for learning about the data editing environment in ArcGIS 10. First a pamphlet in PDF format entitled ” Editing in ArcGIS 10: An Overview “.  An outline of basic steps editing operation in ArcGIS 10. “A Quick Tour of Editing ” is also available online in the ArcGIS Desktop Help 10.0 Library.  “The basics of the editing environment in ArcMap“, including creating new features on the map; updating attribute values; utilizing snapping while editing, creating, and editing annotation; using topology to maintain spatial integrity; and performing spatial adjustments on your data. Esri Offering Technical Certification, Start in January 2011

Esri announced The Technical Certification Program for their software. The Esri Technical Certification Program recognizes qualified individuals who are proficient in best practices for using Esri software in ArcGIS Desktop, Developer, and Enterprise. Earning a certification will mean an individual possesses a high level of technical expertise using Esri software.

Starting in late January 2011, certification will be offered are : ArcGIS Desktop Associate, ArcGIS Desktop Professional, Web Application Developer Associate, Enterprise Geodatabase Management Associate, and Enterprise Administration Associate. Eight more certifications will be added to the program later in the year and into 2012. Continue reading
